The encounter

that changes everything

In Milan, Giuseppe Roscioli meets Anna Maria Pallavicini.
A love story begins, along with a shared dream: to welcome people as if they were at home.

After their marriage, the couple moves to Nice, where they run a small hotel. But it is in Rome that the dream truly starts to take shape.

1927

The first step

Hotel Universo

During a meeting at the Caffè Grand’Italia, by pure chance, Giuseppe was offered the opportunity to purchase a guesthouse on the second floor of a noble building.
That moment changed everything: the idea for the Hotel Universo was born.

The family’s first hotel opened in the heart of Rome.
Ultra-modern for its time, with hot and cold water in every room, it soon became a favourite with travellers.
It was here that a new way of understanding Italian hospitality came to life: concrete, warm and uncompromising.

Rebuilding

with heart and courage

During the war, the Hotel Universo was requisitioned first by the Germans, then by the British.

At the end of the conflict, the building was damaged, but the Roscioli family did not give up: they rebuilt and reopened with determination.
It is a symbol of resilient hospitality, which starts again even in the most difficult times.

1947

Innovation

with a vision

The Roscioli family inaugurates Rome’s first integrated conference centre in a hotel: a 300-seat hall at the Hotel Universo.

It is an absolute novelty for the time, combining hospitality and business.
A clear sign: LVRH is a forward-looking company that innovates intelligently.

1957

A new international

horizon

The Hotel Universo joins the Best Western chain.
This strategic decision marks the beginning of an expansion project for the Group, aimed at collaborating with international companies while maintaining its family identity and unique approach to hospitality.

1983

A new symbol:

Hotel President

The Best Western Hotel President opens near San Giovanni.
Contemporary design, comfort and independent spirit come together in a structure that appeals to a new type of traveller.

Another piece in the construction of a group that strives for excellence in urban hospitality.

1984

We arrive in Milan

THE CORNER DUOMO HOTEL

The group arrives in Milan with The Corner Duomo Hotel, a high-tech boutique hotel just a stone’s throw from the Duomo.

A modern and functional space, where every detail is designed to offer a tailor-made experience.
A bridge between traditional hospitality and the new generation of travellers.

2020

LVRH is born

A new beginning, the same family

Some members of the Roscioli family decide to embark on a new path, while remaining connected in terms of values and relationships.

This leads to the creation of LVRH, an independent group that remains faithful to the original spirit: hospitality, family and authenticity.
A new generation takes up the baton, carrying on the legacy with energy and vision.

Hotel Universo

Durante un incontro al Caffè Grand’Italia, per puro caso, a Giuseppe viene proposta l’acquisizione di una pensione al secondo piano di un palazzo nobiliare.
Quel momento cambia tutto: nasce l’idea dell’Hotel Universo

Apre quindi, nel cuore di Roma, il primo albergo della famiglia.
Modernissimo per l’epoca, con acqua calda e fredda in ogni camera, diventa presto un riferimento per i viaggiatori.
È qui che prende vita un nuovo modo di intendere l’accoglienza italiana: concreta, calda, senza compromessi.

Ricostruire

Con cuore e coraggio

Durante la guerra, l’Hotel Universo è requisito prima dai tedeschi, poi dagli inglesi.
Al termine del conflitto, l’edificio è danneggiato, ma la famiglia Roscioli non si arrende: ricostruisce e riapre con determinazione.
È il simbolo di un’ospitalità resiliente, che riparte anche nei momenti più difficili.

Innovazione

Con visione

La famiglia Roscioli inaugura il primo centro congressi integrato in hotel a Roma: una sala da 300 posti all’Hotel Universo.
È una novità assoluta per l’epoca, che unisce ospitalità e business.
Un segnale chiaro: LVRH è una realtà che guarda avanti e innova con intelligenza.

Un nuovo orizzonte
